How To write a good Inspection and Test Plan in construction?

I have recently shared my opinion on this:

I am really surprised when young people come in a construction project, with great studies and degrees and have absolutely no idea how to write an ITP. In fat, they rarely know what an ITP is which is even worse because it is one of the most fundamental documents for quality management in construction (and not only).

In my view, it is a very simple document and as long as you know the requirements (defined by the standards and the design itself) it is super easy to construct.

ITPs are the most important documents in a construction project in my opinion, as they give the opportunity to everyone on a site to understand what the testing regime must be. If we don’t test what we built then we don’t know if it’s complying to the specifications and requirements It is as simple as that.
